The Intercontinental San Diego Hotel launches the use of RFID technology in 500 uniforms of its employees.
The subsidiary of the Intercontinental Hotel chain located in San Diego will implement RFID technology for the control of uniforms of all its workers.
There are more than 500 uniforms that will use RFID technology. To do this, an RFID Tag will be installed on each garment in the form of waterproof labels guaranteeing its durability, allowing the control of the garments inside the hotel and at the time of sending them to the laundry room.
By automating this process, multiple benefits are obtained, such as knowing the traceability of uniforms, reducing the amount of personnel assigned to the counting of clothing that leaves and enters the hotel facilities, and at the same time reducing the margin of loss of uniforms.
“We wanted to start our operations on the right track and deliver cost-saving benefits to our property from day one. We look forward to increasing efficiencies and operating costs in our uniform room. The installation, deployment, and training of the system was simple and quick," said Arturo Baylon, Director of Maintenance at InterContinental San Diego.
